Just Because

Not much happens in my life. And that's not a complaint. Consequently, this blog update is a little gratuitous.

Recently, my friend's band SuperXXMan got some publicity from NPR's All Songs Considered (episode 103). I was supposed to play my cello on the album. But I was gone for two months in the fall of 2005.

In addition to SuperXXMan, I am listening to:
Gratuitous Part: Recently, I have seen lots of movies at the Portland International FilmFest, gone wine tasting, started drawing classes, watched KU basketball games erratically practiced yoga, found a new place to drink coffee, and found moss growing in some cracks/crevices of my car. That is life in Portland.

Gratuitous Reflective Part: I am updating this blog from Seattle, Washington. I'm on my way to Anchorage Alaska for an earthquake exercise tomorrow. Travel for work continues unabated. The federal monolith keeps churning away at making sure that 'Katrina doesn't happen again.' I do not feel sanguine about the ability of the federal monolith to make that promise come true.
