Thailand Sketches - Part 3 : Bangkok

These are sketches of sites/impressions of Bangkok.
I've got some other sketches in pencil but they are pretty rough. Maybe I'll work on them some more.

1. Naga head and electric wiring. Naga heads are architectural flourishes found on the corners of most temple buildings. This drawing needs color.

2. Bangkok Canal

Thailand Sketches - Part 2: Chiang Mai

These are sketches of sights in Chiang Mai.

1. Wat Doi Suthep.

2. Night Bazaar

3. View of Baan Orapin (our guest house) from the back garden.

Thailand Sketches - Part 1: Odds and Ends

I took a sketchbook, pens, pencils, and water-soluble colored pencils with me to Thailand. Here are some of my sketches. I usually started with a pen/pencil outline and then filled in with color later in the evening.

My only regret(s) are:
1. That I didn't do more drawing while on vacation
2. That I didn't buy actual water colors - the pencils have a chalky finish that I don't like.
